KEC Double Diamond (Oisin) arguably carries the genes of some of the greatest Irish performance bloodlines in the world.
KEC Double Diamond is an approved RID stallion, who was awarded this status in Ireland by successfully completing a thorough testing regimine, including performance testing in open shows in 2000. Oisin [‘Ush-een] was purchased from the Kennedy Equestrian Center and imported from Ireland in 2001 as a 5-year old by Adsagsona. Oisin’s father, Glidawn Diamond, is the son of King of Diamonds out of the premier mare, Kildalton Countess, making his lines some of the most sought after in the world for producing jumpers and all-around athletic sporthorses for any discipline.

His sire Glidawn Diamond, by King Of Diamonds, competed to Grand Prix himself and is a full brother to the approved stallions:Diamond Lad (sire of Heather Blaze: Canadian Airlines Challenge, Calgary; King George V Gold Cup at Hickstead, UK; Pavoritti’ Nations Cup; Millstreet Derby etc.); Diamonds Are Trumps (sire of Can Can – world cup finalist); Kildalton Gold and Kildalton King. Glidawn Diamond’s full sister Kildalton Rose, is the dam of the multiple international winner Convent Hill Diamond (the Pavortti Speed Champion, British Speed Grand Prix winner, etc.)
His grandsire is of course the legendary King of Diamonds who was perhaps the most successful sire of Irish and world class Sport Horses. King Of Diamond’s portfolio of International progeny includes; Mill Pearl (Olympic medalist etc.) Special Envoy (noteably top placer in the Aachen Grand Prix and more) and Millstreet Ruby, among others. King Of Diamonds has proved time after time that he is a successful sire of sires. He has, in fact, sired numerous stallions whom continue to have an impact on world sport horse breeding today… like Hopes Are High (winner of $800,000 Du Maurier Grand Prix at Calgary. The Grand Prix of Dublin; and the Gijon & King George V Gold Cup, Hickstead ‘99).
If that isn’t enough KEC Double Diamond shares the priviledge of being half-brother of international Irish sport horse phenomenon,Coolcorron Cool Diamond, who is currently (2004) maintaining the No. 1 Irish Sport Horse Stallion in the World and in the Top 10 of World Stallion Rankings.
KEC Double Diamond has successfully competed through open 4th level dressage himself and was training Prix St. Georges before his retirement due to injury. His dressage training was periodically interrupted by time away jumping, as he wanted to do it all. A modified champion jumper in his own right under both professional and amateur riders, the only thing keeping him back from going further in his jumping career was our personal courage and a great sponsor!
KEC Double Diamond is already renowned for stamping his foals strongly with his looks, wonderful conformation, altheticism, work ethic and soul. Whether looking for a superb jumper or dressage horse, this Irish horse is unique. He demonstrates power and excellent technique over fences which complements his natural self-carriage and ground covering movement.
